About Us

Katerina is a Registered Psychologist and the founder of Building Blocks Psychology. She is a proud mom of two young children. She moved to Calgary over 15 years ago and fell in love with the city, the people, and all the adventures the surrounding mountains have to offer. She obtained her bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo, and her Masters in Eduction from the University of Calgary. For the past 10 years she's been working in Early Childhood Education providing early intervention, treatment, and assessment services in preschool's and daycare's around Calgary and the surrounding areas. Katerina's passion is working with young children to provide early assessment and diagnoses, so that children are able to receive intervention and supports during the crucial early stages of development. Patience, persistence, warmth and empathy are the key ingredients to assessments that are a true reflection of a child's abilities and areas of need.
